Wordpress is a mess, especially if you start installing plug-ins. Have you ever tried @statamic? It's based on Laravel and you can actually manage both the code and the content using git.

Updated one of our clients' websites to @statamic v5 and couldn't be happier 😃 very smooth upgrade and many pages loading a lot faster than before on the first request before caching 🥰 The whole system seems to be faster than before; I love it.

I love Statamic. Naturally, I spend a lot of time in WordPress since that’s where my audience is. But Statamic is always refreshing to work with. Might redo my site with it in the new year.
